Light artists Luzinterruptus took to the streets of Madrid in the after hours to protest the lack of green spaces within the city. The group went in search for little plants, growing in unexpected places and built small portable ‘greenhouses’ that symbolically sheltered them from the pollution of the city. The plants were surrounded by plastic animals which would live with them under this refuge, the exhibitions were finished with the group’s lights.

According to the group’s website “the intention of this intervention was to make homage and call attention to the insignificant weeds which grow in the most unexpected places and which seem very beautiful to us, for their obstinance in surviving the harsh daily life and for their spontaneity.”
